Working together to craft your family's future
As a lawyer and as a Judge Pro Tem, I have seen the profound impact of divorce, particularly on children. As your lawyer, I help you sculpt a result that minimizes the negative impact. It is possible to emerge from a divorce with a redefinition of family that works for all involved. In this way, children can be protected from conflict and anxiety.
Listening is a fundamental part of my role as a lawyer. I need to understand your situation and your family – not just the dry facts but the feelings and emotions involved - before I can help you decide how to move forward. There is no one way to approach the dissolution of a marriage. Each family is unique, so there is no solution that will fit every case. The outcome of each case should be one that addresses your best interests and those of your children.
I encourage my clients to actively participate in their cases. We spend time discussing possible alternative approaches to the traditional court system. Whatever approach you choose, I can help you navigate the legal system and find solutions that fit your particular needs. The most important thing is open and honest communication between us. We will discuss every aspect of your case and answer your questions so you know what options you have and what the long-term implications of those options may be. This way we can determine together the best approach to resolving your particular situation.
Family matters are difficult on the parties and often involve serious conflicts that must be addressed. Often that includes issues of domestic violence, an area I have dealt with extensively as a divorce attorney, as a criminal attorney, and as a Judge ProTem. Having an effective and experienced advocate at your side helps you resolve those conflicts – through preparation of the evidence, legal analysis, skilled negotiation, or effective presentation of your case to a Judge. I am your advocate, representing your interests with the opposing party and the court, so you are not alone in the process.
You need, and deserve, someone to listen, someone who can help you plan for the future, and someone who can advocate strongly for you. Together we can redefine your family so that your life, and the lives of your children, can continue positively, despite these difficulties.
